Margaret Mountford previews this week’s task, which will be shown tonight on  BBC 1, 9 pm.

“Tonight’s task is the toughest of the series so far. ” she writes “It sounds deceptively straightforward: Sir Alan gives each team 10 items, which they must value and then sell for the highest price.”

Tonight’s episode also promises “angry scenes in the boardroom. We’re used to the candidates trading insults but tonight one of them is rude and abusive to Nick – not a wise move in front of Sir Alan. There’s also an Apprentice first: the losing team leader changes his mind about which candidates he wants to take back into the boardroom for the final firing. Then, even more astoundingly, one candidate volunteers for the role – saying, “Take me in with you!” – so keen are they to fight it out with the project manager in front of Sir Alan. The candidates appear to mistake the boardroom for a saloon bar in a Western. ”
